Like every year, this year also the Founders’ Day was celebrated on 23rd October, 2023 jointly by Sidhwan Institutions running under Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust, Sidhwan Khurd, Ludhiana. The day was celebrated in memory of its Founders Bhai Sahib Bhai Narain Singh ji, Bibi Ram Kaur ji, Bibi Harprakash Kaur ji and Bibi Attar Kaur ji. On this day, Honourable Trustee, S. Birinder Singh Sidhu DGP (Retd.), President of SGHGU Hari Trust, S. Pritam Singh Johal (Secretary), S. Kirpal Singh Bhathal (Manager), S. Harmail Singh Sidhu (Member), S. Devinder Singh Mann (Member) and Dr. G.S Grewal (Member) paid homage to the founders by offering flowers. Gurnoor Kaur Sanghera (XIl Arts) among girls and Gurkirat Singh (X-D) among boys have been selected as the student of the year from G. H.G. Public School, Sidhwan Khurd. In Academic field, total 19 Scholarships were awarded to students from 5th to 12th classes. The Chief Guest of the day was S. Harpal Singh Cheema (Finance Minister of Punjab) and the Guest of Honour was Mrs. Saravjit Kaur Manuke (MLA), Jagraon. The Chief Guest honoured the students with certificate and cash prize. On this day, mesmerizing Kirtan was sung by Bhai Karaj Singh Ji, Hazoori Ragi Darbar Sahib. S. Birinder Singh Sidhu DGP (Retd.), President of SGHU Hari Trust addressed the sangat. The Principal, Mr. Pawn Sood congratulated parents and appreciated students for their achievement. At the end, langar was served to all.
