The purpose of the awareness programmes is to promote children’s rights, to promote awareness around child abuse, to equip children with knowledge and skills to identify and report abuse and other rights violations.

In this regard, G.H.G Public School , Sidhwan Khurd organised special training programmes for students under the banner of JCI Ludhiana in library Hall on 15th April,2023.In the training programmes, three renowned doctors named Dr. Mehak Bansal(Child ICU Specialist Orison Hospitals & Child abuse activist) , Dr Nanc Gupta (Homeopath)

Dr. Arun Garg (Homeopath) from Ludhiana addressed the students with important issues related to child protection and personal hygiene.The day was specially dedicated to safeguard and protect the students between 5-14 years age group and give them the warmth of wellbeing through a planned programme on “Good touch and Bad touch”. The children learnt to identify the “No touch” areas and understood whom to report when there is an alarming situation. In second programme, Dr Nanc Gupta and Dr. Arun Garg addressed the girls of 6th to 10th Class on Menstrual Hygiene .The Awareness Programme focused on encouraging hygienic practices during menstruation, dispelling common myths and misconceptions associated with periods and enabling girls to speak about menstrual issues without inhibition and breaking the taboo . The Principal, Mr. Pawan Sood thanked all the doctors for sparing their valuable time to aware the children on such sensitive issues.
