As per the CBSE guidelines Hubs of Learning organized a workshop on ‘Financial Literacy and Use of Digital Tools’ under the supervision of lead collaborator of this hub Mr.Pawan Sood in G.H.G Public School, Sidhwan Khurd on 29th September, 2023 for teachers to develop financial knowledge and confidence for managing their money. This interactive seminar was ably conducted by Mr Jaswinder Singh (retired Bank Manager). In this seminar he focused to create the awareness about basic financial planning.The Key resource person elucidated the difference between saving and investment ,explained the meaning of financial planning and its importance ,highlighted the concept of mutual funds,various mutual fund schemes and the pre requisites to invest in mutual fund, told about various modes of investing,importance of nomination,guided about difference between saving account and recurring deposits ,elaborated : Atal pension scheme,rising trend of Digital payments ,Do’s and Don’t s of digital payments and types of fraud like prey to phishing and and other cyber frauds etc. .He also gave knowledge to the audience about the different asset classes such as fixed income, gold, real estate, stocks/equity mutual funds and insurance. After the Seminar, feedback session was conducted about the Seminar.The Hub Members Schools ie :- Sacred Heart Convent School, Spring Dew School, MLD School, Sobha Singh Public School,Baba Isher Singh School, Jhordan, SGND School and G.H.G Public School, Sidhwan Khurd participated in this session . At the end The Principal Mr.Pawan Sood thanked the speaker for explaining the various tools of investment like bank,fixed deposits, Post office schemes, insurance , health insurance , mutual funds etc .
