A goal is an object or an aim that we wish to achieve through action.The reason we set goals is to provide direction and purpose in life. Without them, our lives can seem pointless. By setting goals, we ensure ourselves a certain level of motivation and desire each day.In this regard, Arjun’s Fish Eye( A training on goal setting) organized by JCI LUDHIANA GENESIS held at G.H.G Public School, Sidhwan Khurd for students of IX Class on 5th August 2023 under the guidance of Respected Principal Mr.Pawan Sood. The Keynote speaker of the day was Mr. JC Mitul Dang.He is basically a Provisional Zone Trainer ( JCI India Zone-1). The training initiated with an activity using scales and balloons.It was basically ” Passing the balloon of fear out of the room” . It was a time bound activity. JC Mitul Dang clearly elucidated a multitude of key aspects like self management of fears, achieving specific and attainable goals. He explained the various types of goals. The concept of “SMART GOALS” was highlighted in which he clearly told that goals must be specific, measurable,attainable , relevant and time bound. Another activity ” Lets make some goals and tear some sheets ” was also conducted.The guest of the day highlighted the importance of setting goals at an early age ,smart goals,barriers encountered in goal achievement and their possible solutions. Students had great time and knowledgeable session with the guest of the day . The Students shared their experiences about what they learnt today. The Keynote speaker applauded the participation of students.Ms.Harpreet Kaur was the stage secretary of the day. The seminar concluded with vote of thanks given by the Principal of the school.
