G.H.G Public School , Sidhwan Khurd conducted the ‘Investiture Ceremony’ on 13th May ,2023 under the able guidance of our Honourable President S.Birinder Singh Sidhu (Retd.DGP).The Investiture Ceremony is a solemn occasion where young students are prepared to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted upon them by the school.The Chief guest of the day was , S.Pardeep Singh(PPS) ,SP Ludhiana (Rural).The special guest of honour of the day was S. Pritam Singh Johal ( Trustee),Retd.ADC.On this occasion Dr.Aman Sharma was also present as a special guest. The ceremony began with a Prayer song and the ceremonial lighting of the auspicious lamp by the Chief Guest of the day S. Pardeep Singh (PPS)SP Ludhiana(Rural) accompanied by S. Pritam Singh Johal ( Trustee),Retd.ADC and the Principal of G.H.G Public School ,Sidhwan Khurd Mr.Pawan Sood. The stage was conducted by Mrs. Simrandeep kaur and Ms.Ashima . A number of activities lined up on this occasion like :- March Past and Oath Taking Ceremony , Patriotic Songs ,Bhangra & Dance performances.On this occasion, Music teacher Mr.Hargobind presented a beautiful song in his melodious voice . 32 students are selected from 4 Houses for the Administrative Council from which these students are selected as a Head and Vice Head :- Armaan Sharma(Head Boy from Baba Fateh Singh ji house), Amolak Singh ( Vice Head boy from Baba Ajit Singh ji House),Harnoor Kaur(Head Girl from Baba Jujhar Singh Ji House),Gurnoor Kaur (Vice Head Girl from Baba Zorawar Singh ji House). Four students selected for the post of captains from all four Houses .Their names are Khushpreet Kaur (+2 Com A),Sukhpreet Singh (+2 Com D),Gurshan Singh (+2N.Med.),Jaismeen Kaur Dhanoa (+2Med.) .On this occasion position holders of 10th and 12th of session 2022-2023 were also honoured by the Chief guest ,the guest of the day and by the special guest. The Chief guest of the day congratulated all the members of Administration Council and encouraged the students to execute the responsibilities with decorum and devotion. The Principal Mr.Pawan Sood thanked the Chief guest and honour of the day for sharing their valuable time to grace us with their august presence on the Investiture Ceremony and gave them token of thanks. He also congratulated the members of the Administration Council and motivated the students to do duties with dignity and honesty and try to overcome fears,limitations to achieve success in life.He also said that giving responsibilities and authority to the students is the most valuable life skill of being powerful and providence , give the students hope to become the best citizen. The function was organised by Ms.Simerpreet kaur Ghai and Ms.Harpreet kaur.
