Baisakhi Festival Celebrated In G.H.G Public School, Sidhwan Khurd

Baisakhi is a spring harvest festival for Sikhs and Hindus. It is usually celebrated on April 13 or 14 every year. It marks the Sikh new year and commemorates the formation of Khalsa Panth of warriors under Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji in 1699.Baisakhi is the festival of joy and happiness which spreads peace ,harmony and courage. Keeping in mind the importance of this festival,G.H.G Public School, Sidhwan Khurd organised a small function in Morning Assembly for students under the guidance of Respected Principal Mr. Pawan Sood on 13th April 2023. The festival was celebrated with full fervor by the students . Students depicted the importance of Baisakhi by reciting shabads and poems in Morning Assembly. Mr.Sarabjit Singh delivered speech on the significance of Baisakhi festival and Mr. Hargobind Singh (Music teacher) along with students presented a religious song on this occasion. Ms Ashima (TGT English) recited a poem on this day.Under the supervision of Ms Kamini Mukkar (Primary Wing Incharge) ,small children of Primary Wing also celebrated Baisakhi festival by presenting poems,songs,giddha and bhangra. The Principal Sir appreciated the participants and motivated the students to take part in such kind of activities and gave best wishes to all on Baisakhi Festival.
